Tonight is Cub Club Movie Night

Just a quick reminder that TONIGHT is Cub Club Movie Nnight! Join us at Lynah Rink at 7pm where we will be having some light snacks and watching the movie BOLT! Parents can stay or drop off the girls and things should wrap up around 8:30. Also feel free to bring PJ's and pillows so you can get comfortable while you watch the movie. This is our last event until next season so don't miss this
opportunity to wish your big sister well with herexams and over the summer.

Thanks, Wayde Whittaker, wmw9@cornell.edu

Followup from Spring Evaluation Skates

Saturday April 25's Spring Evaluation Skates was the first time TGHA offered this opportunity and it was very successful.  There were 50 skaters including five goalies at one or both of the sessions, and numerous who could not attend have expressed their interest in next season's Travel Teams (or advanced House program format). Girls who desired specific feedback talked with the coaches who observed off ice and/or the coaches who ran the on ice activities.  If you did not receive what you were looking for, please contact Dave Herrick or John Golay.

Tony Eisenhut, continuing 19U coach, ran the on ice activities; TGHA is thankful for his expertise and his enthusiasm as well as time contributed on April 25.  Thanks also to Becky Cameron and Joel Brock who assisted on ice and did observations, and John Golay, Barbara Horton, John Duthie and Dave Herrick for their organizational efforts and for observing from off ice.

Dave expressed: "I certainly appreciated all the player participation, parent support and Association help…especially on such short notice. We had 50 skaters show interest in playing travel hockey which is an exceptional beginning to forming our teams.”

There will be another Team Formation session in September before it will be confirmed if TGHA can offer three or four teams in 2009-2010.  If you did not rsvp for April 25, but you are planning to play on a Shooting Stars team next season, please send an email to VP Travel John Golay,

Women's Tournament Seeks Players 18+

Kelly Pike, former Cornell player and TGHA coach and current Ithaca Furies player/coach, organizes a May tournament for women age 18 and older at The RINK.  They have added an 8th team to the event set for May 8-10, but need more players.  Contact Kelly at kellypike21@hotmail.com.
