Banquet Help Needed
 
Julie Umbach and Amy Rogers of the 13U team are working on the plans with President Carol Mullins.  Volunteers are needed for planning as well as for setup and cleanup on March 27.  Contact Julie at jbu@clarityconnect.com, 257-5722.
 
Nominating Committee Seeks Volunteers
 
In April TGHA will have its annual meeting and elections for the new year's board.  Board members are elected and then officer jobs are divided among the board members including 'representatives at large' and the roles listed under Leadership. The following board members will be seeking other parents and community members to join the board: Carol Mullins, Barb Horton, Richard Goldstein, Mary Grainger, and Cathy Long.

Congrats to 16Us--Central Section Champs
 
Ithaca 16Us defeated the Camillus Cougars 16Us twice last weekend by 4-0 margins to win the Central Section Championship  and advance to the NYSAHA (New York State Amateur Hockey Association) 16U Tier 2 Tournament in Clinton, March 9-11. Sarah Eisenhut and Annabelle Jones shared goaltending duties for the two shutout wins. In the two games, Janesa Cornish scored three goals.  Erin Grainger scored one goal and had three assists. Emma Marshall scored one as well as two assists.  Ariana Cornish, Alex Colbert and Katie Long scored single goals.  Lauren Cole made two assists and Robin Worsell one. Other team members are Whitney Colbert, Emily Eisenhut, Colleen Dillon, Kaitlin MacLean, Elaina Jones, and Leigh Trumpfheller. Tony Eisenhut and Karen Cole are the coaches.
 
Congrats to Silver Medalists at ESG
 
TGHA Alumnae Tara Bricker and Michelle Coates participated on the Central Region team at the Empire State Games Winter Games in Lake Placid which includes an open women's division. They received Silver Medals although were tied with the Gold Medalists but received Silver by tie-breakers.  www.empirestategames.org.
