During
the snowy December 15-16 weekend, the 13U and 14U Ithaca Shooting Stars teams
played opponents from nearby: The 13Us defeated an Ithaca Youth Hockey
Association (IYHA) team 10-4 and the 14Us beat Binghamton Blizzard 4-3 and tied
the Camillus Cougars 0-0.
Against
the IYHA team, Grace Ulinski scored five of the 13U Shooting Stars'
ten goals in the 10-4 victory. Sophia Hunt stopped 12 shots on goal.
Camille Rogers, Rachel Brock, Gwen Umbach, Bridget Derraugh and Alex
Stagliano each scored one goal. Assists came from Brock, Stagliano, Aurora
Solla, Risa Ulinski, Jacy Hollander, and Zsofi Szegletes.
The 14U Shooting Stars defeated the Binghamton
Blizzard 16Us, 4-3, with Angela Everhart making 19 saves. Two goals were
scored by Marissa Ramos, and one each by Meredith Kirk and Carrie Wilder.
Assists were made by Krystalyn Yonkin, Carolyn Dunk, and two by Allison
Grippin.
The 14Us played to a 0-0 tie against the Camillus Cougars 14Us. Everhart
made 23 saves.
