Ithaca Shooting Stars Game Report Feb. 9-10

During the Feb. 9-10 weekend, the Ithaca Shooting Stars 13U, 14U, 16U and 19U teams were all in action.

The 19U Shooting Stars defeated the Cornell Club team 3-1 with Sarah Eisenhut stopping 10 shots in goal. Lauren Cole scored twice and Katie Long once. Emily Eisenhut and Colleen Dillon assisted.

Ithaca 16Us defeated the Tri-County Eagles 19Us, 5-3 with Long notching a hat trick, and single goals by Janesa Cornish and Emma Hassen. Assists were made by Erin Grainger, E. Eisenhut, Dillon and Hassen. Annabelle Jones stopped 13 shots.

The 14U Shooting Stars lost to the Rome Grizzlies 14Us, 6-1. Meredith Kirk scored the one goal assisted by Clara Karastury and Allison Grippin. Angela Everhart made 16 saves. They defeated the Syracuse Stars 12U Tier 1 team, 2-1. Carolyn Dunk scored the first goal unassisted and Grippin got the second assisted by Hannah Golay. Everhart made 26 saves.

Ithaca's youngest travel team, the 13U Shooting Stars fell to the North Country Ice Storm 12Us, 1-8. Rachel Brock scored with an assist from Gwen Umbach. Alex Stagliano had 19 saves in goal. They also played to a 2-2 tie with the IYHA Squirts Red team. Umbach scored both goals with assists from Bridget Derraugh and Camille Rogers. Sophia Hunt had 9 saves in goal.
